Setting up Shop in Gander Bay
Kittiwake Economic Development Corporation is setting up office in Gander Bay for the next year.
Through the funding of the Labour Market Proposal program with Service Canada, Kittiwake Economic Development Corporation has hired a Project Coordinator that will work in the Gander Bay area for the next twelve months. The Project Coordinator will be working with community stakeholders to enable the communities to become engaged in diversifying and working together for the socio and economic improvement of their communities.
“As Project Coordinator for the Labour Market Partnership, I am very interested and excited to be given the opportunity to work with the residents of Gander Bay. It is with much optimism that I anticipate the Labour Market Partnership will generate interest throughout the area, to establish working relationships that will provide information to enhance the social and economic landscape. Upon its completion, the stakeholders involved in human resources and socio-economic development should have a clear vision on how to overcome the barriers to human resources and business development in the Gander Bay Area”, says Bill Hardiman, Project Coordinator
It is the hope of KEDC that this project will enrich the lives of the residents, employees and businesses in these communities and such benefits will impact the province. In addition, it is hoped that this project will enable new opportunities for the citizens, motivating them to work together for the betterment of their area.

Kittiwake Economic Development Corporation is the Regional Economic Development Board serving the Kittiwake Coast which extends west to Lewisporte, north to Fogo, and east to Charlottetown.
