New Executive for Regional Economic Development Board
Economic development has a new leader in the form of a new executive for the Kittiwake Economic Development Corporation.
Kittiwake Economic Development Corporation’s board elected its new executive for the upcoming year, which was announced at a KEDC Annual General Meeting on April 29th. Doug Churchill, who represents the Kittiwake Coast Tourism Association, was elected the new President. Mr. Churchill takes over the position from Mrs. Pat Martin after an 18 month term.
“As the newly elected President, I am looking forward to the coming year, 2009, and the accomplishments it will bring for the communities in our Zone. The Board and Staff of Kittiwake Economic Development Corporation are dedicated to the initiatives outlined in our 2009 Work Plan. With support from our partners, ACOA, INTRD, Service Canada, and other stakeholders, we will move forward and continue to accomplish our goals,” says Mr. Churchill.
The 2009 executive for KEDC includes Doug Churchill as President; Philip Patey, Lewisporte Chamber of Commerce representative, as Vice-President; Wilson Hoffe, Gander and Area Chamber of Commerce representative, as Treasurer; and Wanda Loder, Existing Development Groups representative, as Secretary.
Kittiwake Economic Development Corporation is the Regional Economic Development Board serving the Kittiwake Coast which extends west to Lewisporte, north to Fogo, and east to Charlottetown.
