With a population of close to 10,000 residents, Gander is the largest community in the region, and serves as the region’s public and private-sector service centre. As a service centre for a population of approximately 84,000 people; Gander is a prosperous community offering an excellent school system, a central health care facility and a broad range of cultural and recreational activities. As an aerospace hub the area offers, Gander International Airport, NavCanada, conference business and service industries. Potential remains to create and expand economic opportunities.
